World We Live In
Taking good care of God’s creation is not a new idea. A major car company shows us this in a commercial which has a guy coming out of one of their cars. The car and clothing change, but the message on his shirt doesn’t. “Save the Planet” God loves what He has created, and has made it so it honors Him. (Isaiah 43:20-21) He loves animals enough to save them from the flood, and takes care of them even if they don’t do any real work! (Matthew 6:26) He asks us to be the stewards of His creation, by using wisely what He has created. Go green is not just the cheer for Michigan State University. Think of it as a call to a deeper relationship with this wonderful planet God has put in our charge. Challenge: Help someone else do something to preserve water or other natural resource. Lord God, help us to love your creation as much as you do. Help us in our daily lives to make decisions that are pleasing to you. Amen |
