Sierra Busakowski

Hi, I'm Sierra! I joined the Our Savior's Lutheran Church staff in March 2024, and I serve as the Office Manager and Communications Coordinator. I oversee many of the ways we communicate with our congregation and community, including our weekly bulletins, newsletters, website, social media, and promotional materials. I also help keep the church office running smoothly by coordinating event scheduling, supporting our ministry teams, managing day-to-day office operations, and making sure members and visitors have the information they need to stay connected with everything happening at Our Savior's.

Before joining the staff at Our Savior's, I earned a degree in Criminal Justice as well as a welding diploma and multiple welding certifications. I spent nearly four years working as a Correctional Officer with the Minnesota Department of Corrections. While my career path has certainly been unique, each experience has helped shape who I am today. Working in corrections taught me the importance of patience, communication, problem-solving, and serving others with compassion, while my welding background strengthened my attention to detail and creativity. Those experiences continue to influence the way I approach my work and relationships every day.

My husband, John, and I have two dogs, Nova and Otto, and we love spending time outdoors together. Whether we're hiking, biking, foraging, or working on our farm, we're happiest when we're outside. In January 2026, we purchased a 43-acre former dairy farm outside of Marshfield, Wisconsin, making us first-generation farmers. While we don't have cows.. yet, we're enjoying the adventure of restoring the property, building a new house for ourselves, and hope to one day add sheep and horses in the future.

I'm grateful to be part of the ministry at Our Savior's and look forward to helping people stay connected and feel welcome in our church community.
