Celebrating Nick’s Ministry at OSLC

This past Sunday, June 28, our congregation gathered during service to celebrate and give thanks for the ministry and to honor the meaningful impact of Nick Gilbert.

As previously announced, Nick will conclude his time on staff on July 9 as he prepares to begin a new professional opportunity. While transitions like these bring mixed emotions, they also create space to reflect with gratitude on the ways God has worked through his presence among us.

During his time at Our Savior’s, Nick has faithfully served youth, families, and the wider congregation with care, encouragement, and dedication. His ministry has helped shape meaningful relationships, support young people in their faith journeys, and strengthen the life of our church community in visible and lasting ways. He will be greatly missed.

The reception following worship on June 28 provided an opportunity for the congregation to express appreciation, share memories, and personally thank Nick for his service. It was a simple but heartfelt moment of community, surrounded by conversation, gratitude, and blessings for what lies ahead.

As Nick steps into this next season, we hold him and his family in our prayers. We give thanks for the time, energy, and faith he has shared with us, and we trust that God will continue to guide his path forward with purpose and peace.
