Just a quick reminder to say hello and welcome Aurora, our traditional music accompanist, as you see her in worship! We’re so glad to have her joining us and hope you’ll take a moment to introduce yourself and make her feel welcome. Welcome, Aurora!
CYF Staff

2026 has been a transitional year for OSLC. To better live within our means we made significant cuts to our staff and we had to say farewell to our Children's Ministry team: Danielle, Christine, and Julie. Nick, our youth director, left in July for a new role elsewhere. These staff departures, the realities of our current budget, and the changing world around us has brought us to a time of deep discernment: how can we best live out our congregational call to nurture and support those in the first-third of life in this time and place?
We're excited to share that our church has partnered with InterServe Ministries to conduct a thorough evaluation of our children and youth ministries. This partnership will help us better understand our traditions and strengths, identify areas for growth, broaden understanding and support, and ensure we're providing the best possible spiritual formation for our young people in a safe, welcoming environment.
As part of this process, there is a team of volunteers who have stepped up to lead children's ministries, and we are actively searching for an interim youth director to shepherd our youth ministry through this season. Until that role is filled, Pastor Susie and Pastor Leland will be stepping in to take a direct leadership role with our youth programming.
We're grateful for your patience and prayers during this transition, and we're excited about the future of our children's and youth ministries. If you have questions, please reach out to Pastor Leland, Pastor Susie, or a Church Council member.
Please keep the children and youth in our congregation in your prayers, pray for the Holy Spirit's guidance as we discern together, and pray for those the Spirit will lead to leadership in our Congregation.
